• Avoid blood-thinning medications & supplements for 10–14 days: Aspirin, ibuprofen, Aleve, Vitamin E, fish oil, ginkgo, ginseng, and St. John’s Wort (unless prescribed for a medical condition—consult your provider before stopping).
  
• Pause active skincare like retinoids, glycolic acid, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and strong exfoliants for 48 hours prior.
  
• Avoid alcohol & limit caffeine for 48 hours to reduce bruising risk.
  
• Hydrate well the day before and day of treatment.
  
• Cold sore history? Let your provider know—an antiviral may be recommended.
  
• Arrive with clean skin—no makeup, sunscreen, or skincare products.

• Massage the area: 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days, using moisturizer or Arnica cream to evenly distribute the product.
  
• Avoid vigorous exercise and heat exposure (saunas, hot yoga) for 24 hours.
  
• Skip blood-thinning supplements & medications for at least 48 hours post-treatment.
  
• Follow-up is key—Sculptra® typically requires 2–3 initial sessions, spaced 4–8 weeks apart, with yearly maintenance.
  
• Monitor your skin: Temporary swelling, bruising, or redness is normal. Call us if you notice significant pain, persistent swelling, or signs of infection.
